HELP!! Seems I've befriended a seriously disturbed individual..?

A few weeks ago I received a Facebook friend request from an old schoolmate, didn't know him too well even in school, but hey it's been 11 years so what the hay..confirmed. We talk a few days though texts about our lives since high school and his is a story chalked FULL of drama & heartache from all angles, naturally I feel sympathy for the guy and when he asks to meet my family & get together in person I said sure. Dispite living over an hour away, he began coming by every single day, my husband expressed concern but I said ah, he just needs someone to talk to.. Talking is something he does allll the time, thing is we noticed he tends to tell the same stories but with different endings each time. One thing I cannot stand is a liar, so I tested him one day, caught him red handed in a lie, not only did he refuse to admit it, but even went to so far as to forward me fake emails & "swear on [his] son's life" that he was telling the truth.I began ignoring him, so he finally fessed up after 2 days, but during this time he was talking to other mutual friends making me out to be the bad guy. I confronted him about all this & he says sorry & seems to think that erases everything. He has been obsessively texting me ever since and to top it off, he now proclaims that my kids & I are "his world", he's always had a crush on me and was hoping I'd leave my hubby... I have gone back to ignoring him but he doesn't seem to get the hint. I don't want a friend who I obviously can't trust & never even gave him a reason to think I would be anything more than friends with him! He called 5 times today which I also ignored, so he left voicemails, rather than speaking into the phone he is talking to someone else in person saying "I love her, what else can I do but say sorry, she's ignoring my damn calls, etc, etc".Nice touch.. I'm trying not to be mean, but jeez.. I have an extreme sense of hopelessness, helplessness, and desperation all together. I might have a mental illness. I don’t know if I want to commit suicide because I want to die, or because I need help. I’ve never felt this way before. I’ve noticed that I don’t act normal anymore. I struggle to do day-today things. I don’t feel like anyone around me likes me anymore. I don’t really like people as much, including my “friends.” I don’t enjoy the things I used to like before. Have you ever gotten/made a quilt from you child's baby clothes & regretted it?

My daughter will be 1 in a week & I haven't gotten rid of any of her baby clothes partly because I want to save them in case I have another daughter one day but mostly because of attachment. Yup, I worked with plenty of brits, did many convoys with them. I loved working with them, am actually still in contact with a few. They were great guys, well trained and just fun to be around on down times. I would work with the Brits any time. I have also worked with the Aussies, and found them to be great as well. I am honored to have served in Iraq with both. It was just kind of rough during the world cup, i was a fan of both teams when i had to be.

There is no evidence showing that occasional marijuana use is any worse for you than eating junk food all the time is. In fact, it has been shown that alcohol and cigarettes are much worse for you than several currently illegal drugs are. The reason alcohol, cigarettes, and junk food remain legal is because of the huge lobbies they have. That basically shows that the government imposes restrictive laws based more on special interest groups than public safety. I think the government should let people do what they want with their bodies, as long as they aren't harming anybody else. I don't know why so many conservatives who tout "personal responsibility" disagree. People should have the "personal responsibility" of taking care of their own bodies and not relying on the government to do it for them.

Central heat/air not turning on?

Last winter we had some issues with our outside unit. Apparently the fan motor went bad, according to the tech who came out. It kept blowing fuses so he disconnected a wire and we ran off of the heat strips for a month or so until it warmed up. He said that we couldn't replace the motor but that his company could install a new system and happily quoted me a price. Well, that heat worked fine and this summer we ran a big window unit in the living room and ceiling fans. It is getting cold again and I went to turn on the heat the other day and nothing happened. No click, no sound no nothing. I replaced the fuses and still nothing. There is a meter box (round) outside next to the unit that illuminates a red light when I put the fuses in and goes off after a few minutes. There are two other lights but they stay unlit. Any ideas on where to start looking before I call out another service tech?

Confidence about making the team?

Ive always had issues with confidence about making teams but here is the story: In our school the sports basketball, soccer, track, etc. are separated into cl periods, well in middle school they were just after school things and you just took the athletics cl. Well I did soccer both 7th and 8th grade, so i decided to take the cl in 9th grade. Well tryouts are the last week of Nov. and I am deathly nervous, just because I have been working hard for about 2 months (Sept. and Oct.) So I really want to make that JV team (I'm a Freshman and there is a Varsity and JV team) I just don't know if I have a better chance at making the team than the girls who weren't in the cl but who just decided to try out. most parks its in the 250-300 range, but its all about how your weight distrubutes through your body. If its 290 and its all gut he might not fit. If tis 290 evenly spread and he just naturally a big guy he should be fine. I never seen a person not be able to get in a ride in my 10 yrs of rollercoaster riding. Ive seen guys easily 300+ ride rides i thought they couldnt. 44 inches doesnt seem that big either. When i was about 200 pounds my waist was about a 40 and ive never had a problem. I went out last night with my boyfriend and two other girlfriends. We're really not a touchy feely couple, so we really don't do the PDA thing and we are not up under each other in the club. Not doing so creates the chance that your funds and hard work to create this system might go up in smoke. Planning to go on vacation during my next winter break from school, looking to backpack a bit through some new places for me. I have a decen size budget of around 4000, including travel. Yes, I'm looking to do the hostel thing, and I'm going with my girlfriend, who has a similar budget. We've been planning to do europe, start in italy, be in rome for the befana, then make our way through france, into spain. We leave from new york and plan to be gone for 21~25 days. I have a dog that's a little over a year old, and we've had her for about four months (chihuahua/terrier mix - about 6 lbs). She was already housebroken when we got her, but she does have little accidents every now and then (I still think it's because she's fairly new to our home), so we keep her crated during the day while at work. Some people have told me that it's cruel to keep a dog crated, and that we should let her roam free in our apartment all day while we're at work, or at least confine her to one room. What's your opinion on this? I would be extremely hesitant to let her roam free, especially if there's a chance of an accident. I do feel feel bad when I leave her, and we've recently had to take out her bed while we're gone and replace it with fleece blankets because she tears them to shreds. But I feel that she needs to be crated for her own good. Also, she sleeps in her crate at night - she's trained to do so.

Ok, I'm in high school, and I've been in love with my best friend (of the same age) for a long time now. Here's the kicker: we're both guys. Our friendship has gotten closer and closer, and recently, whenever we've been watching movies or something where we're sitting together in private, I put my arm around him and he doesn't say anything. As time has gone on, I've been able to do more. I hug him sometimes, and when I would normally just have my arm around his shoulder, I do that, plus rub his back, mage his shoulders, and put my arm around his waist and squeeze him up next to me. Also, whenever we have a sleepover, he has started to sleep in and wear around for a little while before and after we go to bed, just his underwear. We also sleep on the floor in sleeping bags or blankets abut 3 inches from each other. Last time we went to a movie, I slowly stuck my hand under his shirt and rubbed his back on his bare skin. I also stuck my fingers a little down his underwear and rubbed him there. The thing is, with the exception of the hug (cause he hugs me back), he never puts his arm around me, or anything else. But he also doesn't tell me not to do any of these things. Do you think he is gay too and likes me? I don't know why he wouldn't tell me to stop doing those things if he wasn't, but if he did like me wouldn't he also reciprocate what I'm doing?

You are reacting like a normal teenager which is fine. You see yourself as an almost grown up and you don't want to take orders from no one. I use to do the same thing when I was that age. The best way to get that closeness back that you want with your mom is to just talk to her. Let her know that you don't like to be called 'bub' when out in public, but of course you know you will always be 'bub' to her. It is just a nickname, everyone has them including me. Your mom is just trying to be there for you. Believe me you will look back at this when you are 30 and married with kids and going through the same thing with your almost grown daughter or son and probably laugh. Please don't ruin your relationship with your mother over petty little stuff like this. Talking is the best way to overcome this and again, let her know that she doesn't have to stand over your shoulder every minute. Talk to her and let her know you are almost grown and that you can be responsible as well. You two should set up some guidelines, like you know she doesn't need to remind you about washing your clothes, because once you realize that you don't have anymore clean clothes then you are going to get off your and wash some. The same with the homework, every mom does it, just let her know just to kind of give you a reminder every now and then, but of course it is going to be on you to remember to do it and if you start slipping then your mom has the right to jump back in. I am uming that taking out the trash is a chore for you, well if you are not doing it then of course she is going to say something, so just make sure you are being responsible about it that is all. But in the end talking does go a long way. I lost my mother July 2, 2008 to cancer, she was 54. I talked to her everyday and believe me I miss that a lot. Hopefully you get things worked out with your mother. Please don't go through the rest of your life being mad about small things like this, because in the end your mother will always be there for you.

My cat won't let me sleep?

I have a cat that is about 8 months old she is spayed she receives love and attention and even has another cat to play with. But she won't let me sleep! I work nights and dont get to bed until about 2am and she wakes me up like clockwork at about 6am everyday. She will stand at my bedroom door and meow loudly until I get up. She isn't sick she's been doing this since she was 2 months old. I've tried everything. I like it. It is very strong emotionally without being overly emotive. I also like that you do set a definite scene but with enough mystery to interest the reader into real thought on the poem. Get Linux/Grub2 to recognize Windows Installations?

I accidentally deleted the partition that contained Grub that pointed to my Windows installations and I cant get back into Windows to repair it. No matter what I tried. Re-installing Linux gave me GRUB back, but no windows installations were on the list, I dont have a BIOS installed, My MBR is gone, I cant find ms-sys to fix the MBR from linux. my XP installation disk cant recognize any hard drives connected, so I cant install that. My computer wont boot from any windows repair disks. All I can do is run Linux Distros... What can I do?

Right after the settelment finalized ( a week after ) I have received 1099's ( for 2007) from the same family members totaling $86,000 thru their lawyers, saying that they have forgot to issue me 1099's for the $86,000 they given me. My daughter is 7.5 months old. I must have asked about my daughter's ears a MILLION times, on here, to my Dr., to my sister, to the baby sitter, the list goes on and on. The Dr. keeps telling me "babies pull on their ears, it's normal." BUT she does not pull on them, she rubs them and then digs in them with her fingers. She had them checked at the Dr.'s just last week and they are clear inside. I realize too that babies rub and dig in their ears when they are teething, but this has been like a non-stop thing for a few months now. She hasn't gotten any new teeth in a while. So, I started really looking in her right ear (the one she rubs the most) and it's all red, kinda flaky, and has a couple of scabs where she's made it bleed by picking/scratching at it.
