Why will the religious not or refuse to produce the evidence that god exist?

religion needs something for it to exist so what better than a god. before there were humans there was no religion therefore no god; so why do the faithful that their deity has existed forever. another thing the faith-full say is that religion has nothing to do with war but it is humans who created religion and practice it and use it for war or war is tainted with it so if the god they say is so peaceful why won't they produce the evidence that it exist?
