Have you ever gotten/made a quilt from you child's baby clothes & regretted it?

My daughter will be 1 in a week & I haven't gotten rid of any of her baby clothes partly because I want to save them in case I have another daughter one day but mostly because of attachment. Ever dress, sleeper, etc... has some kind of memory when I see it. I've been looking online & have thought about getting one of those quilts made out of special clothes from her 1st year. I absolutely love the idea but I hate the fact that I won't have the clothes anymore & that they'll be cut up. I wish I could clone them but obviously I can't! Most stuff's not a big deal but I just can't imagine cutting up her 1st Christmas dress but I would definitely want it in the quilt! I can't have both so I don't know what to do. I'm just wondering if anyone's ever had one made, and then regretted it? Thanks!
