Can babies get eczema INSIDE their ears?

My daughter is 7.5 months old. I must have asked about my daughter's ears a MILLION times, on here, to my Dr., to my sister, to the baby sitter, the list goes on and on. The Dr. keeps telling me "babies pull on their ears, it's normal." BUT she does not pull on them, she rubs them and then digs in them with her fingers. She had them checked at the Dr.'s just last week and they are clear inside. I realize too that babies rub and dig in their ears when they are teething, but this has been like a non-stop thing for a few months now. She hasn't gotten any new teeth in a while. So, I started really looking in her right ear (the one she rubs the most) and it's all red, kinda flaky, and has a couple of scabs where she's made it bleed by picking/scratching at it. Here's my new theory. Her daddy has eczema all over him and I've heard it's hereditary, so can you get it just inside your ear? It's not down the c, just at the opening...
