We have a water softening system.. Could the salt pebbles cause weight gain?

A very small amount of salt does get into the water but it is small in relation to the sodium you get from other sources and depends on how much water you are drinking. The salt used in the process only charges the softener system and then that attracts impurities in the water and removes them.
