Do you think that being honest is a paradox if you want to make a difference in this world?

People who are dishonest get ahead faster than honest people because they don't have ethics holding them back. The more honest you are, the more you will be taken advantage of and the harder time you will have succeeding. If an honest person wanted to make a positive difference in this world, wouldn't they have to be dishonest in order to compete with other dishonest people?
