Is it right to ban morris dancing - because blackened faces may offend?

Banning that would be offensive to us Brits don't you think? We can't let such a tradition down just because of blackened faces, i don't think this tradition even intended to offend anyone and is part of the British cultural identity. Banning the Burqas that Muslims wear - now that is what we should do as it is no part of any tradition, not to mention the Religion and i bet more people would feel more comfortable around Muslims instead of being scared of someone disguising themselves for no reason at all.
